“Crossroads,” a short student film for UCLA, is casting a lead, two supporting, and a day player role. Following a young woman forced to relive a trauma through a detective’s interrogation, the project will hold auditions by appointment in the Los Angeles area on Jan. 28 and Jan. 29. Production is set for March 11 and March 12, and will pay $100 per day.

Casting is underway for the leading role in “By a Thread,” a short for UCLA which follows Jack as he “wakes up in an empty house [and] tries to discover what he’s doing there while a mysterious force hunts him down.” The actor should be aged 20–40 and be comfortable wearing boxer shorts on-camera. Shooting is slated for March 3–6 in L.A., and will pay $200 as well as provide meals.

Two leads and a supporting role are needed for “Not So Slick,” a short that will shoot in Portland, Oregon. “A time travel story that takes us back to the 80’s and explores how changing events can affect present-day reality,” the piece is casting a female actor and two male actors for the parts, all ages 20–49. Some pay will be provided.
